When we thought it could not get any spookier…. The hamlet of Belfountain is going to become home to some Ghoulish Merry Making, crazy jack-o-lanterns and creative house decorating! Higher Ground and the Belfountain Community Organization are issuing up the challenge to everyone. You have one week to create your Enchanted Fantasies! Prizes will be given for i) most unique pumpkin (s), ii) the spookiest house, iii) creativity. Judges will be walking the hamlet between 6pm and 7pm on October 31st. Halloween in Belfountain is going to be spooky this year! Kick off the week with a Halloweeny crafternoon event for kids on October 28th from 11am – 1pm, where there will be a reading of a story called “How to Make Friends with a Ghost” and then using that as our inspiration kids will create an art poster of their own ways to make friends with a ghost. It’s a story about inclusion, difference and honouring and celebrating those things. The fee is $20 for supplies or Pay What You Can. Event is hosted by and located at The Common Good store. On October 31st, join us for the Annual Belfountain Spooky Halloween Party starting at 4:30pm at the Belfountain Community Hall. There will be crafts, games, prizes and spooky activities. Higher Ground Coffee Shop will be onsite with food available for purchase. Just before 6pm we will head out through the community Trick or Treating.
While Trick or Treating make your way to the Common Good where at 6pm there will be a screening of “It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” and there will be an enchanted wood for the kiddos to trick or treat in. Everyone is Welcome!
