What is Belfountain?
- it's a beautiful historic hamlet;
- it's a fascinating place we live and call home and for visitors to shop, eat, drink, relax and contemplate; and
- it's a destination to appreciate nature, our environment and our impact on it.
Garlic Mustard Festival: Sunday 27 May
'Please join us Sunday, 27 May to celebrate busting garlic mustard in Belfountain. Garlic Mustard is a non-native, invasive species. Become a garlic mustard buster; help us eradicate this noxious weed from our neighbourhood! Co-sponsored by the Belfountain Public School and Credit Valley Conservation, this inaugural festival event promises to be a fun filled day of garlic mustard pulling in the morning, followed by fun, local food (with a garlic mustard recipe cook off competition, no less!), musical entertainment and celebrations in the afternoon.

Belfountain Blues and the Alton MillPond Hockey Tournament
Weather and ice conditions weren't the best they could have been, but we sure had fun and no one got hurt (team picture attached). Thank you for playing as a Belfountain Blue and, on behalf of the Alton Millpond Steering Committee thank you for supporting the Alton Millpond Rehabilitation Project. For whom this was the second year playing for Belfountain, it's tough being in the basement again but I think it's satisfying to know that we put forward a very competitive team, and the scoreboard showed it. Great teamwork guys! Like they say about gardening too, there is always next year!! Think about Caledon Village; they fell from first to third place this year.

CVC 2010 Awards Dinner: Belfountain and Area Over Represented?
How could it be? Well, of the 36 awards presented at the the 2010 CVC Awards Dinner in March, Belfountain and area residents and organizations snapped up 6 of them. Not only that, our own Nicola Ross was the keynote speaker. She spoke heart-warmingly about her childhood growing up and adult life living here, within the Credit River Watershed, and the importance of community-based conservation. I think it's just wonderful; and reflective of the thoughtful, caring nature of the folks we have living around here. Congratulations to each recipient.

Port Dover Motorcycle Rally
It was a fine day that day; one of the few we have had this spring...and Belfountain was a quiet hamlet indeed. Apparently most of the motorcycle owners in Southern Ontario descended on Port Dover. Here are a few pics taken by a resident of Belfountain who recently moved to the Port Dover area. Thank you LB for sharing these with us.
