In 2025, the hamlet of Belfountain turns 200 years old. Historically, the Belfountain Community Organization has arranged Salamander Festival each year in September. The Region of Peel is currently performing substantial road rehabilitation works that are to continue through the fall in the center of the hamlet.
Considering these factors, the Belfountain Community Organization has decided not to host Salamander Festival in September 2024. Instead, we will pool our resources with the Belfountain Heritage Society and seek support from the Town of Caledon and Region of Peel to create a magnificent event in 2025 to celebrate our hamlet’s historic 200th anniversary.
